The Trustees of Inclusive Schools Trust are looking to employ a well-presented, friendly, reliable, approachable and hardworking Secretarial Assistant for Drayton Community Infant School.
The Secretarial Assistant will need to have a good telephone manner and be able to deal sensitively with a range of children, parents and outside agencies, welcoming all visitors to the school.
You will need to:
• Have excellent IT and interpersonal skills with a high degree of accuracy
• Be able to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and flexible
• Demonstrate high organisational skills with the ability to work well in a team, as well as using your own initiative
• Have a strong background in administration
• Understand the importance of confidentiality
It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have the following:
• Experience of working in an education environment
• Knowledge of the Pupil Asset MIS system and/or the Weduc Reach More Parents software
Key Responsibilities:
• To assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.
• To be the face of the school, remaining calm and professional at all times
• Managing the school diary and ensuring only required meetings and telephone calls are passed through to the
Senior Leadership Team
• Ensuring the accurate recording of registers on a daily basis
• Ordering lunch for all pupils in a timely manner
• Keeping the school website up to date
